Running and Momentum

When you run, you're constantly dealing with physics. Your momentum - mass times velocity - determines how hard it is to stop. That's why football players keep running after contact, and why heavier players are harder to tackle.

The faster you go, the more momentum you have. But here's the trade-off: faster speeds also mean more kinetic energy, which means more work to speed up and more danger when stopping.
